010.

I was born on the 23rd July 1947 in Plaistow near West Ham, to my father Albert an Est End Docker (from who I took my name) and Olive my mother a pianist descended from Romany Gypsies.

I failed dismally at school but had a great love for football, I failed my eleven plus deliberately so I could attend Shipman County Secondary School so I could have a better chance of being spotted by a talent scout. Eventually I got a place with West Ham United Juniors.

Later in my teens I moved to Marks Gate, near Chadwell Heath. It was clear I wasn't going to make it as a footballer even at West Ham, so me and a few mates started a band, I played drums. In 1965 we release our first single “And The Walls Came Tumbling Down” as Mood Indigo, with me as the lead singer.

I had a couple of acting roles to, 'Godspell' in 71 and then in 'That'll Be The Day' in 73. Later that year I recorded my first hit single under my own name, “Rock On”. A few more acting appearances, notably in Stardust and two number One hit singles followed, along with a role as the Artillery Man on the Jeff Wayne concept album 'War of the Worlds'.

Since “Gonna Make You A Star” hit the number one slot, and the lead in the 1980's film 'Silver Dream Racer'. I've married three times, appeared in 'Aspects Of Love' and 'Mutiny On the Bounty', but you might know me better as Eddie Moon from 'Eastenders'. Who Am I ?
