The Martian.
Matt Damon appears in this 2015 Ridley Scott film. An astronaut becomes stranded on Mars after his team assume him dead, and must rely on his ingenuity to find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive.


Terminator Genysis.
Alan Taylor moves the Terminator series forward in this 2015 film. When John Connor, leader of the human resistance, sends Sgt. Kyle Reese back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor and safeguard the future, an unexpected turn of events creates a fractured timeline.


District 9.
An extraterrestrial race forced to live in slum-like conditions on Earth suddenly finds a kindred spirit in a government agent who is exposed to their biotechnology. A 2009 Neill Blomkamp directorial.


Escape From New York.
Kurt Russell's first outing as Snake Plissken. In 1997, when the U.S. president crashes into Manhattan, now a giant maximum security prison, a convicted bank robber is sent in to rescue him. 1981 directed by John Carpenter.


Barbarella.
Roger Vadim directs Jane Fonda as Barbarella, an astronaut from the 41st century, sets out to find and stop the evil scientist Durand Durand, whose Positronic Ray threatens to bring evil back into the galaxy. 1968.

Minority Report.
Minority Report is a 2002 American science fiction film directed by Steven Spielberg and loosely based on the short story of the same name by Philip K. Dick.


Star Wars: A New Hope.
Episode 4, but the first in the original Star Wars trilogy. 1977 and George Lucas directs. Luke Skywalker joins forces with a Jedi Knight, a cocky pilot, a wookiee and two droids to save the galaxy from the Empire's world-destroying battle-station, while also attempting to rescue Princess Leia from the evil Darth Vader.

A bad scientist and wife, a mad scientist and skeleton, two aliens and their escaped pet are all searching for the elusive element atmospherium. A 2001 Larry Blamire film in the B Movie genre.


Westworld.
A 1973 Michael Crichton written and directed film in which a robot malfunction creates havoc and terror for unsuspecting vacationers at a futuristic, adult-themed amusement park.


Outland.
Directed by Peter Hyams in 1981, and starring Sean Connery as a police marshal stationed at a remote mining colony on the Jupiter moon of Io uncovers a drug-smuggling conspiracy, and gets no help from the populace when he later finds himself marked for murder.


Day The Earth Stood Still.
Klaatu lands and tells the people of Earth that they must live peacefully or be destroyed as a danger to other planets, in this 1951 Robert Wise film.
